Analisis Teknikal Moving Average Convergence Divergence, Stochastic Oscillator, Relative Strength Index dan Money Flow Index terhadap Harga Saham perusahaan yang terdaftar pada Indeks IDX30 di Bursa Efek Indonesia

Abstract

The number of investors in Indonesia is growing rapidly every year. In order to decrease any loss, they need strategies in investment. One of them is by using Technical Analysis. The objective of the research is to analyze technical and effectively the indicators of Moving Averages Convergence Divergence (MACD), Stochastic Oscillator (SO), Relative Strength Index (RSI), and Money Flow Index (MFI) in providing accurate signals concerning stock prices during the Presidential Election in 2024 in the stock prices listed in the IDX30 Index. This research uses technical analysis which are focused on understanding the correlation among the signals from the four indicators with the movements of stock prices. The Data are analyzed by using accuracy test and statistical difference test. The results of the research suggest that the four indicators have good accuracy values in which the first level of accuracy, MACD indicator is 89%, the second one, SO indicator is 81%, the third one, RSI indicator is 79%, and the fourth one MFI indicator is 63%. However, based on the statistical test, it is found that the indicator of Moving Averages Convergence Divergence (MACD) is effective in giving accurate signal concerning stock prices during the Presidential Election in 2024 in the companies listed in the IDX30 Index. The results of this research is expected to provide insight about the strength of signal of the technical indicators in predicting the movements of stock price which, in turn, they can be used by investors to make decisions to invest more properly in the Indonesian capital market.
