Prinsip Etika Lingkungan dalam Antologi Puisi Lingkungan Karya Endang Ratningsih: Kajian Ekologi Sastra

Abstract

Environmental ethics principles are a collection of moral values that direct humans to understand, appreciate, and maintain relationships with nature. Literary works are a reflection of human experiences, thoughts, and feelings expressed through language. One form of literary work that has the power to express human feelings towards life and the environment is poetry. The object used in this study is an anthology of poetry with the theme of Environment by Endang Ratningsih. By using a study of literary ecology, there is a theoretical basis for environmental ethics that shows the relationship between humans and nature and the environment. The purpose of this study is to identify, analyze, and describe the principles of environmental ethics contained in the Environmental poetry anthology. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Qualitative methods are used to explore the meaning and context contained in the poetry text in depth, and a descriptive approach is used to systematically explain the principles of environmental ethics contained in the Environmental poetry anthology. The results of the study indicate that of the nine principles of environmental ethics, there are eight principles, namely: 1) an attitude of respect for nature shows an attitude given to nature, 2) an attitude of responsibility towards nature shows an attitude of obligation to protect nature, 3) an attitude of solidarity towards nature shows an attitude of togetherness to protect nature, 4) an attitude of compassion and concern for nature shows an attitude of paying attention to the preservation of nature, 5) an attitude of not nature shows an attitude towards damage, 6) an attitude of living simply and with nature shows an attitude of caring for nature and the environment, 7) the principle shows honesty and equality of nature, and 8) the principle of democracy shows an attitude of commitment and courage that involves all aspects of nature and the environment.
