    Abstract
    This study is entitled The Influence of Leadership on the Performance of Employees of the Communication and Informatics Service of North Sumatra Province. The purpose of the study was to determine how leadership influences the performance of employees of the Communication and Informatics Service of North Sumatra Province. The theories used are Organizational Communication, Leadership Theory and Employee Performance. This research method is quantitative correlational and the population is employees of the Communication and Informatics Service of North Sumatra Province. The population in this study was 62 people and the number of samples used the total sampling technique, so the entire population was used as a research sample. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 62 respondents. There are two variables studied in this study, namely variable X, namely leadership and variable Y is employee performance. Data analysis was carried out using single table analysis techniques, cross tables, and correlation hypothesis testing using the Spearman's Rho method. The results of the correlation coefficient of 0.448 indicate a significant relationship between leadership and employee performance at the Communication and Informatics Service of North Sumatra Province. The results of the hypothesis test in this study indicate that H0 is rejected and is Ha accepted, namely there is an influence of leadership on the performance of employees of the Communication and Informatics Service of North Sumatra Province.
