The purpose of this study is to utilize waste stem powder from bioplastic production from oil palm trunks and maximize the potential utilization of bioplastic production waste from oil palm trunks. This study focuses on the study of particle board characteristics with variations in isocyanate adhesive content. The design of adhesive concentration variations is 14% (of the total powder weight) with sample code A, adhesive concentration of 22% (of the total powder weight) with sample code B, adhesive concentration of 30% (of the total powder weight) with sample code C. The method used in this study is an experimental method that refers to the SNI 03-2105-2006 regulations. The particle board process conditions are compressed with a Hot Press tool for 10 minutes with a pressure of 10 kg/cm2 and a temperature of 150°C. The manufacture of particle board samples was carried out at the Solid Waste Laboratory of the Environmental Engineering Study Program, University of North Sumatra and the Polymer Laboratory of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of North Sumatra. The results showed that there was an effect of adhesive concentration on the characteristics of particle board as reviewed from the physical and mechanical properties of particle board in accordance with SNI 03-2105-2006 concerning particle board. The optimum value in the review of physical and mechanical properties produced in this study is Sample C (30% isocyanate). The physical properties of particle board Sample C (30% isocyanate), include an average density value of 0.460 g/cm³, a water content value of 0.538%, and a thickness expansion value of 2.141%. While the mechanical properties of particle board Sample C (30% isocyanate), show a MOE value of 39102.863 Kg/cm², a MOR value of 66.055 Kg/cm².en_US
