In the modern industrial era, employee performance has become one of the main indicators that determine the success of an organization. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of communication and superior support on employee performance through job satisfaction as a mediating variable at PTPN IV Medan, North Sumatra. The population used in this study were permanent employees of the Head Office at PTPN IV Medan, North Sumatra, totaling 330 people with a sample size of 77 people. The research method used is quantitative. The analysis technique in this study is Path Analysis, using SEM-PLS (Partial Least Square) structural equation modeling and data processed using the SmartPLS 4 program. The results of the study indicate that: 1) Communication and Superior Support have a direct and significant effect on job satisfaction at PTPN IV Medan, North Sumatra. 2) Communication, Superior Support, and Job Satisfaction have a direct and significant effect on Employee Performance at PTPN IV Medan, North Sumatra. 3) Job Satisfaction becomes a mediating variable and is able to mediate the relationship between communication and Superior Support on Employee Performance at PTPN IV Medan, North Sumatra.
