Analisis Pengembangan Pariwisata dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Kabupaten Nias Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Tourism has become an important sector in improving community welfare in South Nias Regency, North Sumatra Province. The growth in tourist visits to the South Nias Regency in recent years has encouraged an increase in the socio-economic activities of the South Nias community in the tourism sector. This study focuses on the role of tourist areas as intermediary variables in influencing the relationship between tourism development and community welfare, offering a new perspective and adding uniqueness to this research. According to the type of data and analysis, this research can be grouped into quantitative data. Quantitative data is data in the form of numbers or qualitative data that is scored (scoring). The type of research according to the level of explanation is quantitative/associative/correlational, namely data analysis using inferential statistics. The results of this research are related to the influence of tourism development, which includes aspects of attractions, accessibility, amenities, and amenities, on improving community welfare through the role of tourism economic areas as a mediating variable. Therefore, implementing appropriate tourism development policies is very important, including the factors that influence its success. this research, namely the indirect impact on increasing community welfare resulting from the development of tourism economic areas. Components such as natural resources (SDA), human resources (SDM), facilities and infrastructure (SDSP), as well as government sectoral policies (KSP) are proven to have a direct and meaningful influence on community welfare.
