dc.description.abstract | Poaceae are grass plants that are found in primary or secondary forest areas. Sipirok Botanical Garden is one of the conservation areas that has 5 types of vegetation, namely the natural forest, the former plantations, the old secondary forests, the shrubs, and the grasslands. Various types of plant families are found in those five types of vegetation, one of which is Poaceae, but the types of plants from the Poaceae family in the Sipirok Botanical Garden area are not yet known. This study aims to determine the types of Poaceae in the Sipirok Botanical Garden area using the exploration method, which are opening exploration routes and making observations in five forest blocks representing each type of vegetation. The results show that there were 26 species and 21 genera with 2 types of creeping growth and the other types are upright growth. The Sipirok Botanical Garden area occupies a variety of habitats and different topographic conditions, namely the edge of the forest with full sunlight, and areas inside the forest shaded by tree canopies, as well as different physical and chemical factors. | en_US |
