dc.description.abstract(FeCu)-(AlCNT) alloy made by powder metallurgy is a combined alloy in order to obtain good mechanical properties and can be improved mechanical properties by heat treatment process. Hardening is a heat treatment process that improves the mechanical properties of a material by heating and cooling it in a period of time and a cooling medium. This study analyzes the effect of heat treatment holding time on (FeCu)-(AlCNT) alloy. The variations of holding time used are 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, and 120 minutes with a temperature of 900 ° C and then cooled quickly using water cooling media. The results showed that the sample with a 30-minute holding time has the highest density of 6.17 g/cm3, and the sample with a 120-minute holding time has the lowest density of 5.29 g/cm3. The highest Vickers hardness is obtained from heat treatment with a 30-minute holding time with a value of 150.28 VHN, while the lowest Vickers hardness is obtained from heat treatment with a 120-minute holding time with a value of 112.99 VHN. The highest yield stress value for the compressive test was 343.67 Mpa for 90 minutes of heat treatment. The lowest yield stress value was 308.87 Mpa for 120 minutes of heat treatment. With a holding time of 30 minutes, the heat treatment showed the lowest wear rate of 2.7535 x 10-7 mm3/Nmm. In contrast, the alloy showed the highest wear rate of 5.5846 x 10-7 mm3/Nmm with a holding time of 120 minutes. The microstructure of the alloy can be improved through the heat treatment process. This results in finer grain boundaries, which favor the reduction and downsizing of porosity in (FeCu)-(AlCNT) alloys.en_US
