Medan City, the capital of North Sumatra Province, has significant potential for creative economic development, with 69% of its population in the productive age group. This paper advocates for a dedicated Performing Arts Building that aligns with Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy framework. Existing venues like Taman Budaya Sumatera Utara (TBSU) need upgrades to better engage the community. The proposed building will support artists and serve as an educational hub, addressing the need for facilities that promote cultural expressions and nurture local talent. A contemporary performing arts center in Medan, primarily as a theater, is essential for meeting the demands of the city's creative economy. A modern facility will enhance public engagement and provide a dynamic space for performances. This center can symbolize Medan's progressive identity, attract wider audiences, and foster local talent, reinforcing Indonesia's commitment to the performing arts as a key driver of economic and cultural development.en_US
