Visum Et Repertum is a type of report prepared by a forensic medical expert based on their expertise. With the Visum Et Repertum submitted by the investigator, the truth regarding the unnatural death in the suspected criminal incident will be revealed. Premeditated murder, as the most serious crime against life, poses challenges in proving the element of a calm period between the formation of intent and the execution of the will, as well as the element of executing the intent under calm circumstances. The court, when considering the contents of the Visum Et Repertum in court, often correlates it with the causal relationship obtained from the case chronology, witness statements, or the defendant's statements to determine the defendant's criminal liability. Therefore, the Visum Et Repertum plays a crucial role in assisting the court in uncovering criminal acts. This study aims to identify the legal rules regarding the Visum Et Repertum in the Indonesian evidence system, followed by an analysis of the Visum Et Repertum as documentary evidence in uncovering premeditated murder in district court decisions, as well as the optimization of the Visum Et Repertum as documentary evidence in proving the elements of premeditated murder based on several cases in Indonesia that use various types of murder weapons.
