The increasing phenomena of demonstrations by students indicates how the patriotism of students engaged in fighting for aspirations, but at the same time the opportunity to capitalize on demonstrations for personal interests, and validation from others. This study aims to explore the correlation of self-concept and blind patriotism and constructive patriotism, then see how high the level of self-concept, patriotism, blind patriotism, and constructive patriotism is. The study population consists of student activists across the city of Medan, using snowball sampling, resulting in 100 participants. The research design employs a non-parametric Spearman-rho correlation test. Self-concept among students is measured using the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale (TSCS), modified by Batubara (2020). Patriotism was measured using a tool developed by Lubis (2025). The results showed that the self-concept of student activists in the city of Medan tended to be in the positive category, and patriotism scores tended to be moderate. However, self-concept was not significantly related to patriotism. Blind patriotism tended to be in the low category and was not related to self-concept. However, there was a significant positive relationship between self-concept and constructive patriotism, indicating that student activists are critical of positive change.en_US
