    Abstract
Background: A Pharmaceutical Wholesaler (PBF) is a legally established company authorized to procure, store, and distribute medicines and pharmaceutical ingredients in large quantities in accordance with the laws and regulations governing Pharmaceutical Wholesalers. PBF plays a role in the national healthcare system by ensuring the availability of high-quality medicines and medical devices in various healthcare facilities, including pharmacies and hospitals. As the responsible pharmacist in a PBF, a pharmacist must be able to carry out the management of pharmaceutical preparations, starting from procurement and storage to the distribution of pharmaceutical preparations. Objective: To increase prospective pharmacists’ knowledge of pharmaceutical preparation management or distribution and to enhance their understanding of Good Distribution Practice (CDOB) and its implementation in a Pharmaceutical Wholesaler. Summary: Pharmacists can understand the role, function, and responsibilities of a pharmacist as the Responsible Pharmacist (APJ) in a PBF in carrying out and supervising the management of medicines and medical devices, which consists of procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of medicines and/or pharmaceutical ingredients that meet the quality requirements set by the Minister, in accordance with the Good Distribution Practice (CDOB) guidelines. This ensures that medicines or pharmaceutical ingredients are properly maintained until they reach consumers and helps prevent the circulation of counterfeit products. Conclusion: Pharmacists in a PBF must understand their role, function, and responsibilities as responsible pharmacists to carry out and supervise the management of medicines, including procurement, receipt, and distribution, in accordance with the Good Distribution Practice (CDOB) guidelines. Keywords: Pharmaceutical Wholesaler, Good Distribution Practice (CDOB), Medicine and Medical Device Management
