    Abstract
King grass (Pennisetum purpuphoides) is a highly promising forage crop, but its productivity needs to be enhanced through fertilization. Quail manure can be processed into bokashi fertilizer to improve plant growth. This study aimed to determine the optimal dose of quail manure bokashi fertilizer for king grass growth. The research was conducted at the Greenhouse Laboratory and Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara, and fertilizer analysis was carried out at the Agricultural Instrument Standardization Agency (BSIP) of North Sumatera. The study was carried out from October 2024 to February 2025. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with four treatments: P0 = control, P1 = 50 g/polybag, P2 = 100 g/polybag, and P3 = 150 g/polybag, each with three replications. Observed parameters included fresh weight, dry weight, plant height, leaf length, number of tillers, and number of leaves. The results showed that different doses of quail manure bokashi fertilizer significantly influenced growth parameters, including fresh weight, dry weight, plant height, leaf length, number of tillers, and number of leaves. The best results were obtained at the highest dose (P3) of 150 g/polybag, with fresh weight = 939.20 g, dry weight = 281.78 g, height = 157.07 cm, leaf length = 118.15 cm, number of tillers = 10.18 shoots, and number of leaves = 51.55 leaves.
