Epilepsy is a chronic brain disorder characterised by a recurrent tendency to have seizures in the absence of an acute trigger to the central nervous system. This condition not only causes seizures, but also impacts on the neurobiological, cognitive, psychological and social functioning of the sufferer. Children with epilepsy who experience stigma tend to feel emotional distress that can interfere with self-concept and reduce adherence to therapy. The purpose of this final report of the nursing profession is to describe nursing care for children with epilepsy who experience stigma problems and self-concept disorders through the application of storytelling therapy. Nursing care is focused on reducing the impact of stigma through psychosocial and educational approaches. The results of the application of storytelling therapy showed a decrease in the level of anxiety in children and an increase in self-acceptance. Active family involvement is very important in the assistance process, by providing emotional support, building open communication, and showing acceptance of the child's condition to strengthen the child's confidence and overall quality of life.en_US
