Pengelolaan Pelayanan dan Asuhan Keperawatan Keluarga dengan Gangguan Sistem Pencernaan Gastroenteritis Akut di Lingkungan X Kelurahan Pangkalan Mahsyur

Abstract

Acute gastroenteritis is a health problem that exists in the community and a digestive tract health problem that often occurs in society. Based on data from the World Health Organization, the prevalence of acute gastroenteritis in the world is 80%. Acute gastroenteritis often occurs in developed countries such as America. The prevalence of acute gastroenteritis in America is 1.5% of the total population. The increase in the incidence of acute gastroenteritis does not only occur in developed countries. However, the increase has also occurred in developing countries, one of which is Indonesia (WHO, 2019). Nursing care was carried out on April 29 2024 – May 27 2024 for two families suffering from acute gastroenteritis by helping the families recognize family health problems by providing health education about acute gastroenteritis, educating the family in making decisions, caring for the family by providing herbal therapy, modifying the environment, and assist families in utilizing health facilities. The results obtained after the intervention were carried out, the family was able to recognize health problems, the family was able to make decisions regarding appropriate health actions, the family was able to care for sick family members, the family was able to modify the environment, and the family was able to utilize health service facilities. It is recommended that families be able to care for family members with acute gastroenteritis.
