Pengelolaan Pelayanan dan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Remaja dengan Resiko Rendahnya Pengetahuan terkait Kesehatan Reproduksi dengan Penerapan Edukasi Kesehatan Di Kelurahan Pangkalan Mahsyur

Abstract

The lack of adolescent knowledge regarding reproductive health is a concerning issue, as it can lead to risky behaviors and various physical and psychosocial health problems. Adolescents often obtain inaccurate information from social media or their environment, resulting in misunderstandings about the function and care of reproductive organs. This community nursing practice aimed to provide reproductive health education to adolescents as a preventive effort to improve knowledge and reduce risky behaviors. The activity was conducted in Pangkalan Mahsyur with three adolescents as participants. The educational intervention consisted of direct counseling sessions and interactive discussions delivered over two consecutive days. The results showed an increase in adolescent understanding of the anatomy and physiology of reproductive organs, personal hygiene practices related to reproductive health, and the importance of healthy reproductive behaviors. In conclusion, reproductive health education proved effective in enhancing adolescent knowledge and encouraging positive changes in attitudes and behaviors toward reproductive health.
