A ALFIS SYAHRI. Evaluation of the Nutritional Content of Cassava Plant Waste (Manihot esculenta) Silage with the Indigenous Microorganism (IMO) Bioactivator as Animal Feed. (Supervised by YUNILAS). Cassava plant waste is a by-product of cassava cultivation that is abundant and has the potential to be used as an alternative feed for livestock. One method of utilizing this waste is by fermenting it into silage with the addition of a Indigenous Microorganism (IMO) bioactivator. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of different doses of MOL on the nutritional content of cassava plant waste silage. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, from December 2024 to April 2025. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments: P0 (without IMO), P1 (1% IMO), P2 (3% IMO), and P3 (5%IMO), each with 5 replications. Observed parameters included dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, and ash content. The results showed that the addition of IMO had a highly significant effect (P<0.01) on crude protein content, crude fiber content, and dry matter conten. but no significant effect (P>0.05) on crude fat, and ash content. The best treatment was P3 (5% IMO addition), with crude protein content of 20.27% and crude fiber content of 22.81%. The addition of IMO was proven to enhance the nutritional quality of cassava plant waste silage, making it a viable alternative feed for ruminant livestocken_US
