| dc.description.abstract | Background: In an effort to achieve optimal health for the community, the health sector requires support from various fields, one of which is pharmacy. One of the pillars in the field of pharmacy is the pharmaceutical industry, which is a business sector engaged in research, development, production, and distribution of pharmaceutical preparations. The pharmaceutical industry not only acts as a drug manufacturer but also has a major responsibility in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of the products produced in accordance with CPOB. Professional Pharmacist Work Practice (PKPA) is a means for prospective pharmacists to prepare themselves for professional practice.
Objective: This PKPA aims to enhance prospective pharmacists' understanding of CPOB implementation and the role and responsibilities of pharmacists as key personnel in the pharmaceutical industry.
Method: PKPA was conducted at PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk. Cikarang on March 10, 2025-May 9, 2025 through direct observation, participation and documentation in production, quality control, and quality assurance.
Results: PKPA activities include material induction in the form of observing the production process firsthand, and conducting and observing the quality control process, especially in the field of microbiology. In addition, observing and studying the duties of pharmacists in their respective fields, ranging from planning and receiving in logistics, the production process, quality control and assurance, and the waste treatment process.
Conclusion: PKPA at PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk. enhances the competence of prospective pharmacists in the application of CPOB and the role and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry. | en_US |
