Abstract

Background: The pharmaceutical industry plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability of safe, high-quality, and effective medicines. Therefore, the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is essential in every production process. PT. Prima Medika Laboratories is a pharmaceutical industry that serves as a learning platform for aspiring pharmacists to understand pharmaceutical industry practices. Objective: The Pharmacist Professional Internship (PKPA) is carried out with the aim of understanding the application/implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB) guidelines through direct practical activities at PT. Prima Medika Laboratories. Summary: PKPA in the Pharmaceutical Industry of PT. Prima Medika Laboratories is carried out in an effort to understand and through direct learning about the roles, functions and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry as well as understanding the application of Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB) in producing safe, effective, and high-quality drugs. Conclusion: PKPA at PT. Prima Medika Laboratories provides a comprehensive understanding of the application of CPOB in the pharmaceutical industry, while strengthening the competency of prospective pharmacists in technical, managerial, and regulatory aspects.
