Analisis طباق /Ṭibāq/ dalam Kitab شرح المعلقات السبع /Syarah al-Mu‘allaqāt as-Sab‘u/ Karya Abū ‘Abdillāh al-Ḥusain bin Aḥmad az-Zauzānī

Abstract

This research is about ṭibāq in the book Syarḥ al-Muʿallaqāt as-Sabʿu by Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥusain bin Aḥmad az-Zauzanī. This research aims to analyze the form and function of ṭibāq in the poems of Umru’ul-Qais and al-Ḥārith bin Ḥilliza. The is a library research method using a qualitative descriptive analytic and applying Balāgah theory. The primary data were obtained from the verses of Syarḥ al-Muʿallaqāt, while secondary data were sourced from supporting literature. The results identified 21 instances of ṭibāq, consisting of 14 positive ṭibāq (14 in Umru’ul-Qais’s poems and 7 in al-Ḥārith bin Ḥilliza’s poems), while no negative ṭibāq were found. Structurally, there were 15 ṭibāq between two nouns, 1 between two verbs, 4 between a noun and a verb, and 1 between two letters. The research concludes that the use of ṭibāq in classical Arabic poetry plays a significant role in clarifying meaning, emphasizing messages, and enhancing the literary appeal for readers.
