Perbaikan Aliran Proses Kerja PT Industri Pembungkus Internasional dengan Menggunakan Metode Maynard Operation Sequence Technique
Work Process Flow Improvement in PT Industri Pembungkus Internasional with Maynard Operation Sequence Technique Model
Abstract
Work design that involves waste will negatively impact the performance results. This
waste can be identified using the Lean 3M method (Muda, Muri, Mura). Muda refers
to waste, which is defined into seven types of waste, including overproduction,
excessive processing, unnecessary transportation, excessive motion, inventory,
waiting time, and defects. Muri refers to overload, which is the result of eliminating
too much Muda from the process. An operator or machine is considered overloaded
when used more than 100% to complete a task. Mura refers to imbalance, which can
be found in fluctuations in customer demand and variations in cycle time for different
operators. The unit of measurement used to assess performance is the standard time.
Standard time is obtained by multiplying normal time by allowance. Normal time can
be measured using the MOST method. The results of this study include the following
time savings: 68.904 seconds (13.0435%) on the setup phase, 40.392 seconds
(4.43864%) on “moving bundles to pallet” operation, 0 second (0%) on “cleaning
slotter debris" operation, 118.8 seconds (21.3675%) on the inspection operation, and
45.144 seconds (45.7831%) on the feeder operation.
