| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to assess the performance of three type of combine harvesters in rice harvesting in Rawang Lama Village, Rawang Panca Arga District, Asahan Regency. The equipment studied consisted of a Rakindo RK110LZ (mini type), a Yanmar AW82V (medium type), and a BIMO 102(large type). The parameters observed were work capacity, operational effiency, fuel consumption, and crop loss. The study was conducted on-site, while multicriteria analysis was conducted using the Zeleny Method.
The result showed that the Mini Rakindo RK110LZ had a theoretical field
capacity of 0,753 ha/hour, an effective field capacity 0,598 ha/hour, the highest operational efficiency of 79,43%, and the lowest yield loss of 41,6%. The Medium Yanmar AW82V recorded the highest theoretical capacity of 0,889 ha/hour, an effective capacity of 0,588 ha/hour, an efficiency of 66,13%, the highest fuel consumption of 20,84 l/hour, and the lowest yield loss of 38,6%. The Large BIMO 102 had a theoretical capacity of 0,857 ha/hour, the lowest effective capacity of 0,493 ha/hour, an efficiency pf 57,46%, a fuel consumption of 17,7 l/hour, and the highest yield loss of 44,3%. In Zeleny’s analysis, which took field conditions into account, the Mini Rakindo RK110LZ was recommended as the best choice for narrow, muddy fields due to its high efficiency and economical fuel consumption. However, the high yield loss rate indicates the need for improvements to the threshing system and increased operator skills to make harvesting mechanization more effective. | en_US |
