dc.description.abstractOne of the method used in increasing the performance of air conditioner is by reducing the condenser temperature. The reduction of temperature can be achieved by spraying water in the form of mist into the air behind the condenser. The spraying increases the effectiveness of heat transfer in condenser. Therefore, this research is conducted by using mist spray method for 4 hours from 11.00 WIB to 15.00 WIB, with data recorded every 15 minutes. The water used for spraying was cooled the day before using night air and will be stored in poliurethane-insulated tank. In this research, pressure and temperature are measured at four points, namely at the compressor outlet, condenser outlet, expansion valve outlet, and evaporator outlet. The research results showed that by using mist spray, there will be an increase in coefficient of performance (COP) by 9.9%, a decrease in compressor work by 12.9%, an increase in refrigeration capacity by 1.42%, an increase in heat released by condenser by 2.08% and saving on electrical energy of 10.85%.en_US
