| dc.description.abstract | Families are the first and foremost educational environment for children, as they receive profound guidance, education, and influence. Families play an important role in shaping the child's character, values, and behavior and becoming the foundation for the child's growth and development. However, poverty and education are two related aspects of determining public welfare. Economic limitations can hinder access to quality education, thus exacerbating poverty. In deepening the role of the family in families consideration the issue in theories according to friedman 2020, the role of the family can be classified into two categories, those of formal and informal roles. Education is a Shared responsibility between family, community and government. As for the scope of education, including joko sutarto, 2007 is categorized as three informal education, formal education, and non formal education. This type of research is qualitative with the data-collection techniques of interviews, observations, and documents. The data analysis used in research includes: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data conclusion. he results of this study may be concluded that the role of the family is an important part of all family members. As families play an important role in shaping a child's behavior, character and emotional development, it is therefore expected that the family will be able to function well enough to provide for the child's needs both physically and psychologically. A child’s formative behavior is created from the family circle in the first place so that asa parent it is necessary to treat a child to have confidence that behavior in the everyday life entails. The performance of all family members has an role and function in child sexual education that can be achieved optimally when the roles of the family are done to harmonize.
