This survey was conducted to evaluate the nutrient content of the soil and leaves of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) cultivated on smallholder plantations in Linggabayu Subdistrict, Mandailing Natal Regency. Data collection was carried out through field surveys and the collection of soil and leaf samples in the villages of Batuloting, Banjar Selamat, Padang Silojongan villages, with 10 sample trees taken from each location. The samples were then analyzed at the PT. Socfin Indonesia (SOCFINDO) Laboratory to measure the levels of macro nutrients such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), and magnesium (Mg). The results of the analysis of soil nutrient levels of N, P, K in most of the oil palm plantation locations in Linggabayu District were classified as low to very low. However, analysis of leaf tissue showed that Nitrogen content was in the optimal category in almost all locations, except in a few places that showed deficiencies. Phosphorus (P) content in leaves was generally in the sufficient to optimal range, while potassium (K) tended to vary from low to optimal depending on the sampling location. Magnesium (Mg) shows relatively adequate availability, although a small portion of samples still show indications of deficiency. This situation indicates that although the soil is nutrient-poor, particularly in N, P, and K, the plants are still able to absorb these nutrients effectively. This is supported by farmers' fertilization practices and the plants' adaptive capacityen_US
