    Pemanfaatan Kulit Durian Sebagai Adsorben untuk Penyisihan Detergen dan Fosfat dalam Pengolahan Limbah Cair Laundry

    Abstract
    Sampai saat ini hampir semua industri laundry langsung membuang limbahnya ke saluran drainase atau badan air tanpa melalui pengolahan terlebih dahulu. Air limbah laundry memiliki banyak kandungan bahan kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kajian efektivitas penyisihan detergen dan fosfat dengan metode adsorpsi dengan variasi waktu kontak (0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 dan 30 menit) dan variasi dosis adsorben (1, 2, 3 dan 4 gram) serta model isoterm adsorpsi akan diterapkan pada isotherm Freundlich dan Langmuir dengan variasi dosis adsorben. Dalam pengujian variasi waktu kontak didapat waktu optimum yaitu 25 menit. Efisiensi penyisihan detergen dan fosfat pada waktu kontak optimum secara berturut-turut yaitu sebesar 97,95% dan 57,17%. Pada pengujian variasi dosis adsorben didapat efisiensi penyisihan detergen dan fosfat terbesar secara berturutturut sebesar 99,46% dan 98,35% pada dosis 3 gr. Pemodelan isoterm adsorpsi yang mewakili adsorpsi detergen dan fosfat adalah model isoterm Freundlich.
     
    Until now almost all the laundry industry dispose of waste directly into the drainage or water body without processing it first. Laundry waste water has many chemical content. This research aims to find out the study of effectiveness of detergent and phosphate removal by the adsorption method with variation in contact time (0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 minutes) and variation in dose of adsorbent (1, 2, 3 dan 4 grams) and also the adsorption isotherm model will be applied to the Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm with variation in dose of adsorbent. In testing of the variation in contact time, the optimum time is 25 minutes. Detergent and phosphate removal efficiency at optimum contact time sequentially is 97,95% and 57,17%. In testing of the variation in dose of adsorbent, the highest detergent and phosphate removal efficiency sequentially is 99,46% and 98,35% at a dose of 3 grams. Modeling of adsorption isotherm representing detergent and phosphate adsorption is the Freundlich isotherm model.
