    Optimasi Parameter Handover pada Jaringan Long Term Evolution (LTE)

    Abstract
    Handover merupakan salah satu fasilitas dalam sistem komunikasi seluler untuk menjamin adanya kontinuitas komunikasi apabila pelanggan bergerak dari satu sel ke sel yang lain. Dalam penelitian ini telah dioptimasi kinerja algoritma soft handover dari tiga eNodeB (eNB) pada jaringan Long Term Evolution (LTE) dengan nilai threshold. Adapun parameter kinerja handover pada jaringan LTE yang telah dianalisis pada penelitian ini adalah Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) dan jumlah handover yang terjadi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa perubahan nilai threshold akan mendapatkan nilai RSRP yang lebih optimal untuk tiga eNB, masing-masing dari tiga eNB mempunyai jarak sejauh 8000 m. Ketika nilai threshold - 113 dBm pada kecepatan 15 m/s, nilai RSRP sangat jauh lebih besar dari nilai threshold sehingga dapat meminimalkan jumlah handover yang terjadi.
     
    Handover is one of the facilities in the cellular communication system to ensure the continuity of communication when the user moves from one cell to another cell. This research has optimized the performance of soft handover algorithm from three eNodeB (eNB) on Long Term Evolution (LTE) network using threshold value. Network performance parameters such as Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) and number of handover were observed. The simulation result shows that the change of threshold value will get a more optimal RSRP value for three eNB, each of three eNB are distanced by 8000 m. When the thershold value is - 113 dBm at a speed of 15 m/s, RSRP value is very much greater than the threshold value so as to minimize the number of handover were observed.
