Analisis Faktor – Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Pendapatan Peternak Kerbau Lumpur di Kecamatan Sorkam Barat Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the income of mud buffalo farmers and the factors that influence income in the West Sorkam District, Tapanuli Tengah District. The study was conducted in May - August 2018 using primary data. The method used in data collection is interviewing respondents with the Census Method and analyzed with Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS 16 application tools. The results showed that the income of mud buffalo farmers in West Sorkam District was influenced simultaneously by the business scale, breeders' age, farmer experience, the number of family and labor dependents with R square valued at 0.986 (98%). The results of the study showed that the business scale and the number of workers gave a significant influence (P <0.05) on the income of mud buffalo farmers. The business scale has a positive influence in increasing the farmer's income but the number of workers has a negative influence on the income of farmers while the age of the farmer, the experience of raising livestock, the number of family dependents influences is not significant or has no significant influence (P> 0.05) on the income of farmers. The income of buffalo farmers in West Sorkam Subdistrict is diverse, with the smallest income being Rp. 970,000 / year with a scale of 2 cattle and the largest is Rp. 468,805,000 / year with a livestock business scale of 47 while the average income of buffalo farmers is Rp. 178,883,636 / year with a business scale of 2-47 tails.

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui besar pendapatan peternak kerbau lumpur dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan di Kecamatan Sorkam Barat, Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei – Agustus 2018 menggunakan data primer. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah wawancara responden dengan Metode Sensus dan dianalisis dengan Regresi Linear Berganda menggunakan alat aplikasi SPSS 16. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendapatan peternak kerbau lumpur di Kecamatan Sorkam Barat dipengaruhi secara serempak oleh skala usaha, umur peternak, pengalaman peternak, jumlah tanggungan keluarga dan tenaga kerja dengan R square bernilai 0,986 (98%). Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa skala usaha dan jumlah tenaga kerja memberika pengaruh yang signifikan (P<0,05) terhadap pendapatan peternak kerbau lumpur. Skala usaha memberikan pengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan pendapatan peternak namun jumlah tenaga kerja memberikan pengaruh negatif untuk pendapatan peternak sedangkan umur peternak, pengalaman beternak , jumlah tanggungan keluarga berpengaruh tidak nyata atau tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan (P>0,05) terhadap pendapatan peternak. Besar pendapatan peternak kerbau di Kecamatan Sorkam Barat beragam dimana pendapatan terkecil adalah Rp 970.000/ tahun dengan skala usaha ternak 2 ekor dan terbesar adalah Rp 468.805.000/ tahun dengan skala usaha ternak 47 ekor sedangkan rata-rata pendapatan peternak kerbau sebesar Rp 178.883.636/ tahun dengan skala usaha 2-47 ekor.
