Abstract

The paper titled “A Main Character‟s In The Sense Of An Ending Novel. The writer interested to choose this titled because the desire to know the about life story of 60 years old Tony Webster as the main character, who has a doughter and choose to be a single parent. Tony has divorced his wife, Margaret. Tony spend his life by commute from home to antique camera store. Tony review his life with his three friends, he has the teennage life that wasn‟t boring. He had a girl friend named Veronica in his adolescence from the first person point of view in his novel just tells the story about his relationship, friendship,school, teachers, family and girlfriend. This paper using quantitative descriptive method, to explaindata and book reaserch. In this paper, after the writer read and analyzed the sense of an ending novel , the writer make interpretation and conclution about that

Kertas karya ini berjudul “A Main Characters The Sense Of An Ending”. Penulis tertarik memilih judul ini karena ingin mengetahui cerita hidup tentang Tony Webster yang berusia 60 tahun sebagai tokoh utama yang memiliki anak perempuan yang sudah dewasa dan lebih memilih menjadi orang tua tunggal. Toni sudah bercerai dengan istrinya Margaret, Tony menjalani hidupnya bolak balik rumah dan toko kamera antik. Tony mengulas masa-masa remaja bersama tiga orang sahabatnya Tony menjalani masa remajanya yang tidak membosankan dan tidak luar biasa juga. Di masa remaja Tony juga memiliki kekasih bernama Veronica. Dari sudut pandang orang utama pada novel ini hanya berputar pada hubungan Tony Webster, teman-teman sekolah, guru, keluarga dan pacarnya. Kertas kaya ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif , yaitu menjelaskan data dan penelitian menggunaka buku. Dalam kertas karya ini, setelah penulis membaca dan menganalisis novel the sense of an ending, penulis membuat interpretasi dan kesimpulan tentang hal itu.
