A Description of The Main Characters in Ransom Riggs’ Novel Miss Peregrines’s Home for Peculiar Children

Abstract

The title of this paper is “A Description of The Main Characters in Ransom Riggs’ Novel Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.” The objective of this paper is to find the main characters. In this paper, the writer uses of the library research, then collects some books that relevant with this topic, and research the data from internet to find addition information which are related with this topic. The results of this study are setting and education values in the Novel, such as setting of place, setting of time and setting of culture. The results of this research show that there are several characters found in the novel such as introvert, willing to sacrifice, calm, understanding, clever, wise, determined, etc.

Judul kertas karya ini adalah “A Description of The Main Characters in Ransom Riggs’ Novel Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.” tujuan makalah ini adalah untuk menemukan karakter utama. Metode yang penulis gunakan didalam kertas karya ini adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan dimana penulis mengumpulkan beberapa buku yang berhubungan dengan topik ini, dan mencari data dari internet untuk menemukan informasi tambahan yang berhubungan dengan topik ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini, penulis menemukan latar yang mempunyai 3 elemen seperti latar tempat, waktu dan kultur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa sifat yang ditemui dalam novel seperti sifat introvert, rela berkorban, tenang, pengertian, pintar, bijak, yakin, dll.
