    Pelapisan Hidrogel Urea/Selulosa Jerami Padi-Terikat-Polinatrium Akrilat dengan Matriks Karet Alam Terikat Silang N,N’-Metilenbisakrilamida

    Abstract
    The research with topic the coating of urea/rice straw cellulose-linked-polysodium acrylate hydrogel with natural rubber cross-linked N, N'-methylenebisacrylamide matrix has been done. This research was followed by some steps, such as (a) isolation of cellulose from leaves and stems of the rice straw; (b) synthesized of HSA through crosslinking process using polysodium acrylate; (c) preparation of crosslinking of latex using KPS and NMBA; (d) coating of HSA within the crosslinked latex and the last process is controlled-release urea from those HSA. The HSA then characterized using FTIR, SEM, TGA, and UV-Vis. Recovery of cellulose leaves and stems of rice straw, respectively for 15.84% and 23.55%. Results of analysis of tensile strength and strain KTS specimen showed KTS 15% DRC has the optimum tensile strength of 0.1962 MPa. The highest hydrogel swelling ratio was 221.93 at 70 °C. SEM showed the homogeneous hydrogel surface. The release of urea from the hydrogel without coating process showed a very low release of urea at HSA 70°C with a concentration N 0,36 ppm in the 90th minute. HSA-KTS hydrogels were prepared at 80oC had a slow release urea and stable.
     
    Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pelapisan hidrogel urea/selulosa jerami padi-terikatpolinatrium akrilat dengan matriks karet alam terikat silang N,N’- metilenbisakrilamida. Isolasi selulosa dari daun dan batang jerami padi telah dilakukan. Selulosa daun dan batang jerami padi dianalisa morfologi permukaan dengan SEM, gugus fungsi dengan FT-IR, dan TGA. Selulosa kemudian diikat silang dengan polinatrium akrilat untuk membentuk hidrogel. Preparasi karet terikat silang dilakukan dengan menggunakan KPS sebagai inisiator dan N,N’- metilenbisakrilamida sebagai zat penyambung-silang. Karet terikat silang (KTS) nantinya digunakan sebagai pelapis hidrogel urea/selulosa jerami padi-terikatpolinatrium akrilat. Recovery selulosa daun dan batang jerami padi berturut-turut sebesar 15,84% dan 23,55%. Hasil analisa kekuatan tarik dan regangan spesimen KTS menunjukkan KTS 15% DRC memiliki kekuatan tarik optimum sebesar 0,1962 MPa. Swelling ratio hidrogel tertinggi pada temperatur 70oC sebesar 221,93. SEM menunjukkan permukaan hidrogel yang homogen. Pelepasan urea tanpa penyalut KTS menunjukkan pelepasan urea yang sangat rendah pada HSA 70oC dengan kadar N 0,36 ppm pada menit ke-90. Hidrogel HSA-KTS yang dipreparasi pada 80oC memiliki pelepasan urea yang lambat dan stabil.
