    Abstract

Soft handover is one of the algorithms for UE movement from eNB to another eNB along with the weakening of RSRP from Enb serving against distance due to EU movements. Soft handover has a "make-before-break" concept that makes this algorithm guarantee better service quality than hard handover algorithms. With the superiority of the algorithm, it is possible to apply it to TDD-LTE systems to demonstrate Quality of Service (Qos). The main component that affects the performance of the soft handover algorithm is the value of the margin threshold and margin hysteresis which will change the average value of the active set size, the ratio of the probability of outage, and the number of handovers that occur. The value of the average active set size will increase due to the addition of the threshold margin and hysteresis values. While the highest outage probability ratio occurs at -90 dBm for samples of distances of 611 meters and 1611 meters with values of 0,8813 and 0,455 respectively which indicate a service termination due to radio link failure. Radio link failure occurs because the RSRP value received by the EU has a lower value than the threshold margin. While the number of handovers that occur tends to be constant, number of 2 times for each application of the margin hysteresis and threshold values.
