    Pemodelan Parallel Coupled-Line Bandpass Filter Berbasis Teknologi Multilayer Coplanar Waveguide MMIC

    Abstract
    Teknologi Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) memiliki keunggulan dimensi dengan ukuran kecil. Pada perkembangan awal teknologi MMIC, sebagian besar komponen menggunakan struktur mikrostrip. Untuk menghubungkan komponen aktif ke ground dalam desain mikrostrip dibatasi oleh ketebalan substrat yang mengarah ke kopling vertikal sehingga kinerja sirkuit terdegradasi. Desain coplanar waveguide (CPW) diusulkan sebagai alternatif dari struktur mikrostrip. Dimana dengan teknik desain CPW menghasilkan MMIC yang hemat biaya dan menyebabkan miniaturisasi dalam teknologi MMIC. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pemodelan elektromagnetik parallel coupled-line Band Pass Filter (BPF) berbasis teknologi multilayer CPW MMIC. Dimana tahapan penelitiannya meliputi pemodelan BPF yang dibangun dan spesifikasi perancangan BPF yang selanjutnya dianalisis. Spesifikasi BPF CPW dimodelkan dengan substrat GaAS dan Polymide. Konstanta dielektrik GaAS (12,9) dan Polyamide (3,7). Ketebalan substrat GaAS (600 mikron) dan Polymide (2,5 mikron) pada setiap lapisannya. Pemodelan dilakukan pada teknologi multilayer dan menggunakan simulator Agilent Anvanced Design System (ADS) 2011.10. Nilai S21-Insertion Loss yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini -2,92 dB. Nilai VSWR < 2 (dari frekuensi 2,4 - 3 GHz untuk komponen Straight 3 Kumparan, dari frekuensi 2,1 – 2,35 GHz untuk komponen Bending dan dari frekuensi 1,5 – 2,3 GHz untuk komponen Straight 4 Kumparan), bandwith mencapai 1 GHz dengan frekuensi kerja 2 GHz sesuai dengan perancangan.
     
    Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) technology has small dimension advantages. In the early development of MMIC technology, most components used microstrip structures. To connect active components to ground in a microstrip design is limited by the thickness of the substrate leading to vertical coupling so that the performance of the circuit is degraded. Coplanar waveguide (CPW) design is proposed as an alternative to microstrip structures. Where the CPW design technique produces MMICs that are cost-effective and cause miniaturization in MMIC technology. In this study will be carried out parallel coupled-line band pass filter (BPF) electromagnetic modeling based on CPW MMIC multilayer technology. Where the research stages include BPF modeling to be built and BPF design specifications which will then be analyzed. Specifications BPF CPW modeled with GaAs substrates and polyimide. GaAS Dielectric Constants (12.9) and Polymide (3.7). GaAS substrate thickness (600 microns) and polymide (2.5 microns) at each layer. Modeling is done on multilayer technology and uses Agilent Advanced Design System (ADS) 2011.10 simulator. The value of S21-Insertion obtained in this thesis - 2.92 dB. VSWR value <2 (from frequency 2.4 - 3 GHz for Straight 3 coil component, from frequency 2.1 - 2.35 GHz for Bending component and from frequency 1.5 - 2.3 GHz for Straight 4 Coils component), bandwidth reaches 1 GHz with a working frequency of 2 GHz according to the design.
