Faktor-Faktor Penyebab Anak Putus Sekolah di Daerah Pesisir Lorong Melati Kelurahan Belawan 1 Kecamatan Medan Belawan Kota Medan

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan bagian dari hak dasar anak yang wajib dipenuhi. Putus sekolah merupakan suatu permasalahan sosial dimana tidak terpenuhinya hak-hak anak untuk mendapatkan pendidikan yang layak. Daerah pesisir pantai merupakan daerah yang banyak ditemukan anak yang putus sekolah seperti yang terjadi di daerah pesisir Lorong Melati Kelurahan Belawan 1 Kecamatan Medan Belawan Kota Medan. Terjadinya anak putus sekolah yang disebabkan oleh berbagai macam faktor mendorong mereka untuk memutuskan berhenti sekolah. Penelitian ini di lakukan di Lorong Melati Kelurahan Medan Belawan Kecamatan Medan Belawan Kota Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dimana informan dalam penelitian ini adalah anak umur 11 sampai 18 tahun yang putus sekolah pada jenjang SD, SMP, dan SMA yang berjumlah 4 orang dan informan tambahan dalam penelitian ini adalah orangtua dari anak yang putus sekolah sebanyak 2 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan studi kepustakaan, studi lapangan, kemudian dianalisis oleh peneliti yang dijelaskan secara kuantitatif, sehingga pada akhirnya dapat ditarik kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa yang menjadi faktor penyebab anak putus sekolah di Lorong Melati Kelurahan Belawan 1 Kecamatan Medan Belawan Kota Medan disebabkan oleh kurangnya minat anak sekolah/keinginan sendiri. Selain itu faktor yang menyebabkan anak putus sekolah adalah faktor ekonomi keluarga, faktor sosial keluarga, perhatian orangtua, pengaruh teman sebaya, ketersedian sumber lokal dan kebudayaan.

Education is part of the basic rights of children that must be filled. Drop out of school is a social probem when the children rights do not fullfilled to get quality education. So many children that drop out from the school in the coast area for example in the Lorong Melati Kelurahan Belawan 1 Kecamatan Medan Belawan Medan City. The children drop out from the school caused by various factors that support them to leave their school. The study was conducted in coast area Lorong Melati Kelurahan Belawan 1 Kecamatan Medan Belawan Medan City. This a descriptive research, which is informants in this study are the children 11-18 years old who drop out from the school that consists four people in the SD, SMP, and SMA level and the additional informant in this study is the parents of them of two people. In completing the analysis, library research and fild research are applied, and the writer analisys and explain it by kualitative research, so that the writer can take a conclusion from the researche. The study shows the influence factors the children drop out from the school in coast area Lorong Melati Kelurahan Belawan 1 Kecamatan Medan Belawan Medan City is there is no longing from the children to school, not only that but also economi, social, and than the carenes of their family factor. The additional factor as the effect of their frinds, the availability there arrounds and the culture factor is the last factor.
