    Abstract
    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pelapisan Cr-Al pada low carbon steel. Pada penelitian ini proses pelapisan Cr-Al pada low carbon steel dilakukan dengan metode pemaduan mekanik. Variabel Komposisi adalah Cr50Al50, Cr87,5Al12,5, Al100, dan Cr100. Waktu milling serbuk Cr-Al adalah 2 jam, dan waktu proses pelapisan selama 1 jam. Proses heat treatment pada suhu 6000C, 7000C, 8000C, dan 9000C dan penahanan temperatur selama 2 jam. Proses karakterisasi dilakukan terhadap lapisan Cr-Al pada low carbon steel dengan pengujian XRD, SEM dan kekerasan vicker hardness. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Telah berhasil dilakukan Coating Cr-Al dengan variasi komposisi (%at) pada low carbon steel menggunakan metode pemaduan mekanik. Variasi komposisi Cr-Al pada low carbon steel berpengaruh terhadap mikrostruktur yang terbentuk. Kondisi perlakuan Heat treatment coating Cr-Al pada low carbon steel menyebabkan perubahan mikrostruktur. Struktur AlCr2 yang diharapkan pada aplikasi tempertur tinggi terbentuk dengan komposisi Cr50Al50 dan heat treatment 8000C.
     
    The Research was of the coating Cr-Al on low carbon steel has been done. The coating process Cr-Al on low carbon steel is done by integrating the mechanical method. For the variable Composition is 50Cr50Al, 87,5Cr12,5Al, 100Al, and 100Cr. The powder Cr-Al milling time is 2 hours, and a coating process for 1 hour. The process of heat treatment at a temperature of 6000C, 7000C, 8000C, 9000C and containment temperature for 2 hours. Characterization process performed on the Cr-Al coating on low carbon steel with XRD, SEM and Vicker hardness test. The results showed that coating has been successfully performed Cr-Al with variations in composition (% at) on the low carbon steel using mechanical alloying. The composition variation Cr-Al on low carbon steel affect the microstructure formed. Heat treatment conditions of Cr-Al coating treatment on low carbon steel cause microstructural changes. AlCr2 structure expected in this application of high temperature formed with the composition and heat treatment 50Cr50Al 8000C.
