Analisis Framing Gamson dan Modigliani Terhadap “Kolom Lae Togar” di Harian Posmetro Medan

Abstract

This thesis titled "Framing Analysis Gamson and Modigliani to Lae Togar Column In Posmetro Medan Daily", a qualitative study with constructivism. The research aimed to be achieved is to: 1) looking at the idea communicator (emic), as the central (core frames) in Lae Togar Column, 2) creates a column in the peculiarities of framing devices (how to look at an issue) in the form of coverage of methapors, exemplars, catchprahrases, depictions and visual images of issues to be told as the story Column Lae Togar, and 3) the influence of Columns Lae Togar against the author as reasoning devices (justification) consists of roots (causal analysis) and appeal to principle (moral claims) are presented. Theories are used as guidance in writing this thesis is to use constructivism, consisting of self-based communication theory, theory constructs relationships in communication, message design model theory, the definition of news, communication and commodification, analyzes the frame (framing analysis). Research data collection techniques using secondary data in the form of a story published in The Posmetro Medan Daily with topics of criminal, domestic violence and sex are published in June 2015 and interviews with the author Lae Togar Column. Results of the research is successful ideas is the concept emic communicator as a central (core frames) in Lae Togar column. Creation of the peculiarities of the columns in the framing devices (how to look at an issue) coverage in the form of the ability to use typical phase (slogan), and the use of cartoons on the issue told as the story Lae Togar Column .Komodifikasi sales, spatialization and structuration, as the reasoning devices (justification) consists of roots (causal analysis) and appeal to principle (moral claims) who presented a recognition of Lae Togar column part of economic entities Daily Posmetro Medan.

Tesis ini berjudul “Analisi Framing Gamson dan Modigliani terhadap Kolom Lae Togar Di Harian Posmetro Medan”, studi kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme. Adapun tujuan penelitian yang hendak dicapai adalah untuk: 1) melihat gagasan komunikator (emic), sebagai sentral (core frames) dalam Kolom Lae Togar , 2) menciptakan kekhasan kolom dalam framing devices (bagaimana melihat suatu isu) berupa cakupan tentang methapors, exemplars, catchprahrases, depictions dan visual images terhadap isu yang diceritakan sebagai jalan cerita Kolom Lae Togar , dan 3) melihat pengaruh Kolom Lae Togar terhadap penulis sebagai reasoning devices (alasan pembenar) terdiri dari roots (analisis kausal) dan appeal to pronciple (klaim moral) yang diketengahkan. Teori-teori yang digunakan sebagai pedoman dalam penulisan tesis ini adalah dengan menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme, terdiri dari teori komunikasi berbasis diri, teori konstruk hubungan dalam komunikasi, teori model desain pesan, definisi berita, komunikasi dan komodifikasi, analisis bingkai (framing analysis). Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian dengan menggunakan data skunder berupa terbitan cerita Lae Togar di Harian Posmetro Medan dengan topik kriminal,KDRT dan seks yang diterbitkan pada bulan Juni 2015 dan wawancara dengan penulis Kolom Lae Togar. Hasil penelitian adalah Keberhasilan gagasan komunikator merupakan konsep emic sebagai sentral (core frames) dalam Kolom Lae Togar. Penciptaan kekhasan kolom dalam framing devices (bagaimana melihat suatu isu) berupa cakupan tentang kemampuan menggunakan fase khas (slogan), dan pemakaian kartun terhadap isu yang diceritakan sebagai jalan cerita Kolom Lae Togar .Komodifikasi penjualan, spasialisasi, dan strukturasi, sebagai reasoning devices (alasan pembenar) terdiri dari roots (analisis kausal) dan appeal to principle (klaim moral) yang diketengahkan merupakan pengakuan terhadap Kolom Lae Togar bagian dari entitas ekonomi Harian Posmetro Medan.
