    Optimasi Antena Mikrostrip Dualband dengan Defected Ground Structured (DGS) untuk Frekuensi 1800 MHz dan 2400 MHz

    Abstract
    In this research are designed and analyzed a dualband microstrip antenna with Defected Ground Structure (DGS) for frequencies 1800 MHz and 2400 MHz. The frequency bands used in this research are 1.6 - 2.6 GHz. The design is done by using AWR Microwave 2004 simulator. With DGS method is expected to reduce a mutual coupling effect, so that the desired antenna parameters can be improved. Based on research that design of optimal microstrip antenna has sized DGS 9.5 mm x 9.5 mm and position of Y+ is 12.5 mm. Based on the simulation and measurement results, it is generally accepted that the microstrip antenna with DGS has a good (optimal) VSWR, return loss, gain, and bandwidth compared to the antenna without DGS. The microstrip antenna design with optimal DGS can work on the dualband frequency as expected.
     
    Dalam penelitianini dirancang dan dianalisis sebuah antena mikrostrip dualband dengan Defected Ground Structure (DGS) untuk frekuensi 1800 MHz dan 2400 MHz. Band frekuensi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah 1.6 – 2.6 GHz. Perancangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan simulator AWR Microwave 2004. Dengan metode DGS diharapkan dapat mengurangi efek mutual coupling sehingga parameter-parameter antena yang diinginkan dapat ditingkatkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rancangan antena mikrostrip dengan DGS yang optimal berukuran 9.5 mm x 9.5 mm dengan posisi DGS pada sumbu Y+ adalah 12.5 mm. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi dan pengukuran, secara umum bahwa antena mikrostrip dengan DGS memiliki nilai VSWR, return loss, gain, dan bandwidth yang lebih baik (optimal) dibandingkan dengan antena tanpa DGS. Antena mikrostrip dengan DGS hasil rancangan dapat bekerja pada frekuensi dualband sesuai dengan yang diharapkan.
