    Analisis Penurunan Timbunan pada Tanah Lunak dengan Sistem Preloading dan Prefabricated Vertical Drain di Runway Bandara Kualanamu

    Abstract
    Consolidation is a phenomenon in soil mechanics which usually causes geotechnical problems. Land consolidation is soil settlement as the result of the dissipation of pore water excess in a long time. The dissipation process is called the process of consolidation. It is necessary to do the improvement for the condition of soft cohesive soil. One of the methods is by using the combination of preloading with prefabricated vertical drain (PVD) which is one of the most popular combination methods in improving soil. The research location was in the Sta 0 + 750 runway of Kuala Namu Airport which has the thickness of soft soil of 11 meters.The method used to calculate the amount of vertical settlement, consolidation period, and the excess of pore water in the soil of the Sta 0 + 750 runway of Kuala Namu Airport with PVD was geotechnical instrument data from the field, with finite element method (Plaxis) of Mohr-Coulomb model and Soft Soil model with rectangular PVD modeling by verifying vertical drain installed in the fields (asymmetrical model) to plane strain model. The excess of pore water pressure and vertical settlement were analyzed so that the result was compared with the result of the field observation, while Asaoka and Hyperbolic methods were used for the prediction of settlement. The result of the research showed that there was the conformity in the response between the data in the field and finite element of Mohr-Coulomb model and Soft Soil model. It was also found that a) soil deformation and the excess of pore water pressure of Plaxis prediction was nearly in line with the result of monitoring system, b) analyzing the procedure of vertical drainage by changing the soil horizontal permeability had changed geometry, and c) Asaoka method and hyperbolic method provided the result of the prediction which was nearly on line with the result of monitoring system and Plaxis in predicting the settlement.
     
    Konsolidasi merupakan fenomena dalam mekanika tanah yang sering menimbulkan permasalahan geoteknik. Konsolidasi tanah adalah peristiwa penurunan tanah akibat terdisipasinya ekses air pori yang berlangsung pada waktu yang lama. Proses terdisipasinya air pori ekses dari massa tanah disebut proses konsolidasi. Untuk kondisi tanah kohesif lunak perlu diadakan perbaikan. Salah satu cara untuk menanggulangi masalah tersebut adalah dengan memperbaiki karakteristik tanahnya. Perbaikan tanah tersebut dengan menggunakan kombinasi Preloding dengan prefabricated vertikal drain yang merupakan salah satu kombinasi metode perbaikan tanah yang paling populer. Pada penelitian ini daerah yang akan ditinjau adalah runway Bandara Kuala Namu Sta 0 + 750 yang memiliki ketebalan tanah lunak 11 meter. Metode yang digunakan penulis untuk menghitung besarnya penurunan vertikal, waktu konsolidasi dan air pori ekses pada tanah di runway Bandara Kuala Namu Sta 0+750 yang diberi prefabricated vertikal drain (PVD) adalah data instrumen geoteknik dari lapangan, dan metode elemen hingga (Plaxis) model Mohr-Coulomb dan model Soft Soil dengan memodelkan prefabricated vertikal drain yang berbentuk persegi panjang menjadi sand drain yang berbentuk lingkaran. Pada perhitungan metode elemen hingga (Plaxis) model Mohr-Coulomb dan model Soft Soil terlebih dahulu memverifikasi vertikal drain yang terpasang di lapangan setempat - setempat (model axisymmetris) ke model plane strain. Dianalisa excess pore water pressure, penurunan vertikal, sehingga hasilnya dibandingkan dengan hasil pengamatan lapangan. Sedangkan untuk prediksi penurunan menggunakan metode Asaoka, metode Hyperbolic. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kesesuaian respon baik antara data pengamatan lapangan maupun dengan metode elemen hingga model Mohr-Coulomb dan model Soft Soil. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: a. Deformasi tanah dan tekanan air pori ekses hasil prediksi Plaxis mendekati hasil sistem monitoring, b. Untuk menganalisis drainase vertical prosedur yang digunakan dengan mengubah permeabilitas horizontal tanah merubah geometri, c.untuk prediksi peneurunan metode Asaoka, motode Hyperbolic memberikan hasil prediksi yang mendekati hasil sistem monitoring dan Plaxis.
