The use of non-linier load can cause the effect of harmonics. Television is one of the
non-linier loads which cause the effect of harmonics. Television haqrmonics should
be reduced in order that the equipment performance and the system of the electric
power are not disturbed. The study used simulation method with Single-Tuned Filter
as the filter for reducing harmonics from television. The data for measurement were
obtained from the measuring device of Power Q plus MI 2492 (METREL brand)
which showed that some harmonics current (IHDi) from three 21 inch-tube model
television sets with 88 watt power did not meet te standard of IEC61000-3-2 Class D.
The result of the study on Television B showed that after using Single-Tuned Filter
with values of C = 4.143 μF, L = 0.05 H, and R = 1.1 Ω, THDv was reduced to
21.8%, while THDi was reduced to 46.62%, IHDi of the 5th order was reduced to
0.160 A, IHDi of the 7th order was reduced to 0.078 A, IHDi of the 9th order was
reduced to 0.034 A, and IHDi of the 15th order was reduced to 0.021 A. These IHDi
values had met the standard of IEC61000-3-2 Class D. The result of te simulations
showed that after using Single-Tuned Filter, harmonics was reduced to 74.48%. Pemakaian beban non linier menyebabkan timbulnya harmonisa. Televisi adalah
salah satu beban non linier yang menghasilkan harmonisa. Harmonisa Televisi harus
direduksi sehingga kinerja peralatan dan sistem tenaga listrik tidak terganggu.
Penelitian dalam tesis ini menggunakan metode simulasi dengan Single-Tuned Filter
sebagai filter pereduksi harmonisa dari Televisi. Data pengukuran yang diperoleh dari
alat ukur Power Q plus MI 2492 (merk METREL) menunjukkan bahwa beberapa orde
harmonisa arus (IHDi) dari ketiga Televisi dengan daya 88 watt, ukuran 21 inchi
model tabung tidak sesuai dengan standar IEC61000-3-2 kelas D. Hasil penelitian
pada Televisi B, setelah penggunaan Single-Tuned Filter dengan nilai C =4.143 μF,
L=0.05 H, dan R=1.1 Ω, THDv tereduksi 2.18% dan THDi tereduksi 46.62%, IHDi
orde-5 berkurang menjadi 0.160 A, IHDi orde-7 menjadi 0.078 A, IHDi orde-9
menjadi 0.034 A dan IHDi orde-15 menjadi 0.021 A. Nilai IHDi ini telah sesuai
standar IEC61000-3-2 kelas D. Dari simulasi diperoleh bahwa setelah penggunaan
Single-Tuned Filter harmonisa berkurang menjadi 74.48%.
