Abstract

This paper entitled A Description of Plot in Friends Forever Short Story by Aditi Das Bhowmik consist about plot understanding and the element of plot. In doing this paper, the writer using ―Freytag’s Pyramid‖ by Gustav Freytag to describe the plot found in the Friends Forever short story. There are Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling action, and Resolution. This paper is written by using descriptive qualitative method. The writer takes the data from various written sources such as book, proposal, and information from internet. This story tell about friendship between John and Martin. The writer’s purpose in writing this paper is to motivated and inspirited the reader because the plot in Friends Forever short story has interest points of friendship.

Kertas karya ini berjudul A Description of Plot in Friends Forever Short Story by Aditi Das Bhowmik. Dalam mengerjakan kertas karya ini, penulis menggunakan Freytag’s Pyramid oleh Gustav Freytag untuk mendeskripsikan plot yang ditemukan dalam cerita pendek Friends Forever. Yaitu Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, dan Resolution. Kertas karya ini ditulis dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penulis mengambil data dari beragam sumber seperti buku, proposal,dan informasi dari internet Cerita ini menceritakan tentang persahabatan antara John dan Martin. Tujuan kertas karya ini adalah untuk menginspirasi dan memotivasi pembaca karena plot cerita pendek Friends Forever ini mengandung poin menarik tentang persahabatan.
