dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to describe implemented character education in Islamic schools. This problem research is how character values through relationships formed and practiced Agency (kepelakuan) and structure (guidelines) school. This study used a qualitative method with case study approach. The research location is at SMA Yayasan Pendidikan Shafiyyatul Amaliyah (YPSA) Medan with research subjects involving coaches / administrators, principals, teachers and students / alumni. The collection of data obtained through observation, interviews and other supporting data (profile school, school activities program and documentation). The research result shows that the values of character is formed and practiced through the values agency (kepelakuan), such as supervisors, principals, teachers and students / alumni as well as guidelines (structure), such as the vision and mission of school, school regulations and school activities ( intra / extra). Practice characters can do for their relationship agency (kepelakuan) and the structure (guidelines) interplay (duality). Character values practiced school community include: (1) the practice of character discipline, (2) practical character of religious, (3) the practice of smart character, (4) the practice of leadership character, (5) the practice of democratic character, (6) the practice of character responsibility, (7) the practice of creative character, (8) the practice of friendly characters, (9) the practice of social care character, (10) the practice of character environmental care, (11) the practice of independent character.en_US
dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan praktik pendidikan karakter yang dilaksanakan di sekolah Islam. Masalah dalam penelitian adalah bagaimana nilai-nilai karakter dibentuk dan dipraktikan melalui hubungan kepelakukan (agen) dan struktur (pedoman) sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMA Yayasan Pendidikan Shafiyyatul Amaliyah (YPSA) Medan dengan subyek penelitian melibatkan pembina/pengurus sekolah, kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa/alumni. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara serta data pendukung lainya (profil sekolah, program kegiatan sekolah dan dokumentasi). Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa nilai-nilai karakter dibentuk dan dipraktikan melalui nilai-nilai kepelakuan (agen), seperti pembina sekolah, kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa/alumni serta pedoman (struktur), seperti visi dan misi sekolah, peraturan sekolah dan kegiatan sekolah (intra/ekstra). Praktik karakter dapat dilakukan karena adanya hubungan kepelakukan (agen) dan struktur (pedoman) yang saling memengaruhi (dualitas). Nilai-nilai karakter yang dipraktikan warga sekolah meliputi : (1) praktik karakter disiplin, (2) praktik karakter relijius, (3) praktik karakter cerdas, (4) praktik karakter kepemimpinan, (5) praktik karakter demokrasi, (6) praktik karakter tanggungjawab, (7) praktik karakter kreatif, (8) praktik karakter bersahabat, (9) praktik karakter peduli sosial, (10) praktik karakter peduli lingkungan, (11) praktik karakter mandiri.en_US
