    Abstract
    Penelitian dengan judul Analisis Hegemoni Pada Tokoh Utama dalam Film “The Warlords”karya Peter Chan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hegemoni, hegemoni budaya, ideologi tokoh peran kaum intelektual dan peran negara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan hegemoni Antonio Gramsci. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, didapat 4 macam bentuk dari konsep teori hegemoni Gramsci pada film The Warlords yaitu: (1) hegemoni kebudayaan yang meliputi unsur-unsur budaya dalam keperacayaan masyarakat Tiongkok. (2) ideologi yang dianut oleh tokoh, humanisme, sosialisme, feodalisme dan otoritarianisme yang tergambar pada perilaku tokoh. (3) peran kaum intelektual yang terbagi atas dua: intelektual organik dan intelektual tradisional (4) peran negara yang terbagi atas dua wilayah; pertama, wilayah masyarakat politik yang merupakan wilayah kekerasaan dan wilayah masyarakat sipil yang merupakan persetujuan hegemoni. Kaum intelektual organik juga termasuk dalam peran negara pada wilayah masyarakat sipil, sebab dalam wilayah masyarakat sipil, kaum intelektual organik melakukan fungsinya dengan keberpihakannya pada masyarakat sosial.
     
    Research with the title Analysis of Hegemony in the Main Characters in the Film "The Warlords" by Peter Chan aims to describe the cultural hegemony, ideology of the role of intellectuals and the role of the state in the film "The Warlords" by Peter Chan. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative method with Antonio Gramsci's hegemony approach. Based on the results of data analysis, obtained 4 forms of the concept of Gramsci's theory of hegemony in the film The Warlords, namely: (1) cultural hegemony that includes cultural elements in the beliefs of Chinese society. (2) ideology embraced by figures, humanism, socialism, feudalism and authoritarianism which is reflected in the behavior of figures. (3) the role of intellectuals who are divided into two: organic intellectuals and traditional intellectuals (4) the role of the state which is divided into two regions; first, the territory of political society which is the area of violence and the territory of civil society which is the agreement of hegemony. Organic intellectuals are also included in the role of the state in the area of civil society, because in the area of civil society, organic intellectuals carry out their functions by aligning them with social society.
