    Pembuatan dan Karakterisasi Film Kitosan Sebagai Green Dielektrik dengan Penambahan Natrium Tripolyphosphate (Na5P3O10) untuk Aplikasi Kapasitor Elektrostatik

    Abstract
    Pembuatan film kitosan sebagai green dielektrik dilakukan untuk meningkatkan karakteristik film kitosan baik kondisi fisis maupun sifat listriknya. Hal ini dilakukan karena karakteristik film kitosan murni memiliki distribusi ukuran butir yang tidak seragam serta porositas yang tinggi sehingga mempengaruhi kecepatan penyimpanan muatan pada proses charging. Karena itu film kitosan dimodifikasi dengan penambahan natrium tripolyphosphate (Na5P3O10) yang divariasikan mulai 2.5 mg/mL, 5 mg/mL, 7.5 mg/mL dan 10 mg/mL. Dalam penelitian ini,film kitosan dan kitosan-natrium tripolyphosphate difabrikasi dengan metode solution cast. Karakteristik film hasil fabrikasi meliputi pengujian charging–discharging dalam electro static capacitor setup dengan rangkaian RC seri dan uji FTIR untuk menganalisa pengaruh penambahan natrium tripolyphosphate pada pergeseran pita serapan IR film kitosan. Hasil – hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa dielektrik berbasis film kitosan dengan 2.5 mg/mL natrium tripolyphosphate memiliki karakteristik listrik yang baik, dengan kemampuan menyimpan muatan listrik dalam jumlah yang lebih besar yakni 774000 μC. Nilai kapasitansi kapasitor meningkat dua kali lipat dibandingkan dari pada nilai kapasitansi kapasitor film kitosan lainnya.
     
    Production of chitosan film as a green dielectric has been done to improve the characteristic of chitosan film such as physical condition and its electrical properties. This is done because the characteristic of pure chitosan film has a grain size distribution that is not uniform and a high porosity that affects the speed of the charge storage in the charging process.Therefore, the chitosan films were modified by adding sodium tripolyphosphate (Na5P3O10) in to chitosan solution with the variation of 2.5 mg / mL, 5 mg / mL, 7.5 mg / mL and 10 mg / mL. In this study, chitosan film and chitosan - sodium tripolyphosphate film were fabricated with solution cast method.Characteristics of the film fabrication results include charging-discharging test in the electrostatic capacitor setup with RC series circuit and FTIR to analyse the effect of the addition of sodium tripolyphosphate on IR absorption bands shift of the chitosan film.The results show that the dielectric based on chitosan + 2.5 mg / mL of sodium tripolyphosphate has the best electrical characteristics, with the ability to store electrical charge in larger quantities of 774 000 μC. Dielectrics with better capability in storing electric charge have been obtained, suggesting that the addition of sodium tripolyphosphate may improve the quality of the chitosan film.
