    Abstract
    Work system is a series of work procedures and work procedures which then form a certain pattern in order to carry out a field of work. PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Kebun Gunung Para has aspects of the work system that need to be repaired, such as machines that often suffer damage (breakdown), equipment and products that are not organized, hot temperatures, odor and noise, heavy workloads, lack of worker's awareness in using the correct PPE. After analyzing the problems above, the macro ergonomics approach was chosen by using the Macro Ergonomic Analysis and Design (MEAD) method as an appropriate solution to the problem. The observed work systems are machines and equipment, physical working environment conditions, facility layout, work methods, workload and organizational policies. Based on the results of the open questionnaire and the closed questionnaire, two work system variables were found that had the highest severity level, namely workload variables and machine and equipment variables. The improvement for workload variable is by adding a transfer tool in the form of a conveyor belt so that it can reduce the workload received by the operator. The improvement for engine and maintenance variables is to create a machine maintenance program that includes all details of maintenance activities, engine component maintenance checklist, and technical information.
     
    Sistem kerja merupakan rangkaian tata kerja dan prosedur kerja yang kemudian membentuk suatu pola tertentu dalam rangka melaksanakan suatu bidang pekerjaan. PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Kebun Gunung Para memiliki aspek-aspek sistem kerja yang perlu diperbaiki, seperti mesin yang sering mengalami kerusakan (breakdown), peralatan dan produk yang tidak tertata, suhu ruangan yang panas, bau dan bising, beban kerja yang berat, kurangnya kesadaran pekerja dalam menggunakan APD yang benar. Setelah dilakukan analisis terhadap permasalahan diatas dipilihlah pendekatan ergonomi makro dengan menggunkan metode Macro Ergonomic Analysis and Design (MEAD) sebagai penyelesaian yang tepat untuk permasalahan tersebut. Sistem kerja yang diamati berupa mesin dan peralatan, kondisi lingkungan kerja fisik, tata letak fasilitas, metode kerja, beban kerja dan kebijakan organisasi. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner terbuka dan kuesioner tertutup, didapatkan dua variabel sistem kerja yang memiliki tingkat keparahan tertinggi yaitu variabel beban kerja dan variabel mesin dan peralatan. Perbaikan untuk variabel beban kerja adalah dengan menambah alat bantu perpindahan berupa belt conveyor sehingga dapat mengurangi beban kerja yang diterima operator. Perbaikan untuk variabel mesin dan perawatan adalah membuat program perawatan mesin yang mencakup semua rincian aktivitas perawatan, checklist perawatan komponen mesin, dan informasi teknikal.
