    Pengaruh Arsitektur Tradisional Aceh pada Bangunan Pemerintahan (Studi Kasus : Arsitektur Kantor Walikota Lhokseumawe)

    Abstract
    Traditional architecture is one of the forms of Indonesian cultural wealth so that it becomes the symbol of local people’s culture. Technological advancement causes some people to turn to modern architecture. Regional architecture exists to merge traditional architecture and modern one. Government buildings as formal buildings play an important role in urban government; they express physically and visually local architecture. The objective of the research was to find out the implementation of Aceh traditional architecture which dominantly influenced government buildings, especially the building of Lhokseumawe Town Hall which was used as a case study in this research. The research used descriptive qualitative method. The data were gathered by conducting direct observation in the field. The research variables were the characteristics of the physical appearance and the elements of Aceh Traditional Architecture in the building of Lhokseumawe Town Hall. The findings which were analyzed were in accordance with the library research. The result of the research showed that the shape of roof and the entrance of the Town Hall were influenced by Aceh traditional architecture.
     
    Arsitektur Tradisional merupakan salah satu bentuk kekayaan kebudayaan bangsa indonesia, sehingga kehadirannya menjadikan lambang kekhasan budaya masyarakat setempat di setiap daerah. Akibat kemajuan teknologi membuat sejumlah pihak beralih kepada arsitektur modern. Arsitektur regionalisme hadir dalam upaya menyatukan arsitektur tradisional dan arsitektur modern. Bangunan pemerintahan sebagai bangunan formal yang kehadirannya memberikan arti penting bagi pemerintahan kota, sehingga bangunan ini hadir dalam suatu upaya mengekpresikan secara fisik-visual dalam menampilkan arsitektur setempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan penerapan Arsitektur Tradisional Aceh serta elemen Arsitektur Tradisional Aceh yang paling dominan mempengaruhi bangunan pemerintahan khususnya Bangunan kantor Walikota Lhokseumawe yang dijadikan studi kasus pada penelian ini. Bentuk penelitian ini berupa penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi langsung ke lapangan. Variabel yang dikaji pada penelitian ini berupa karakteristik dari wujud dan elemen fisik Arsitektur Tradisional Aceh pada bangunan Kantor Walikota Lhokseumawe. Temuan-temuan yang diperoleh dibahas sesuai dengan tinjauan pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk atap dan entrance bangunan kantor walikota mendapat pengaruh dari arsitektur tradisional Aceh.
