A Description of Moral Values in Machine Gun Kelly’s Hotel Diablo Album

Abstract

The title of this paper is “A Description of Moral Values in Machine Gun Kelly’s Hotel Diablo Album” discusses about the types of moral value such as perseverance, self-confident, sincerity, and enthusiasm which are described in the lyric of MGK’s Hotel Diablo album. The source data for this paper are four selected song from the album, they are : El Diablo, Roulette, Floor 13, and Hollywood whore. This paper uses qualitative method by listening the songs, understanding the songs, reading the lyrics, understanding the meanings, and after the writer gather the moral values in MGK’s lyrics.

Judul dari kertas karya ini adalah “A Description of Moral Values in Machine Gun Kelly’s Hotel Diablo Album” membahas tentang jenis – jenis moral seperti ketekunan, percaya diri, kesungguhan dan antusiasme yang digambarkan dalam lirik lagu pada album Hotel Diablo, MGK. Sumber data untuk kertas karya ini adalah 4 lagu pilihan dari album, sebagai berikut : El Diablo, Roulette, Floor 13, and Hollywood whore. Kertas karya ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mendengarkan lagunya, memahami lagunya, membaca liriknya, memahami artinya, dan setelahnya penulis akan menggabungkan nilai – nilai moral dalam lirik MGK.
