Pengendalian Mutu Minyak Mentah dan Inti Kelapa Sawit di PTPN IV Unit Tinjowan Dengan Menganalisis Kadar Air Menggunakan Metode SQC (Statistic Quality Control)

Abstract

Quality control is an activity to maintain and to direct so that the quality of products and services can be maintained as planned. In other words, quality control is an effort to maintain the quality of goods produced and serviced, in order to comply with specifications that have been determined at the discretion of the company leadership. To produce crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernell oil (PKO), PTPN IV Tinjowan Unit has several quality requirements, one of them is the moisture, to see whether these quality requirements are in accordance with specification of the product is expected to conduct this research using the SQC (statistical quality control) method. The method use determine the value of process capability (Cp) and the value of Cpk with USL and LSL that have been set by the company. In this final project the water content quality factor has a value of Cp, Cpk < 1 this means that the capability of the process is very low and the production process still produces products that are not in accordance with the specifications and if Cp, Cpk > 1 then it means that the capability of the process is very good and the production process has produced the products that conform to specifications.

Pengendalian mutu merupakan suatu aktivitas untuk menjaga dan mengarahkan agar kualitas suatu produk atau jasa dapat dipertahankan sebagaimana yang telah direncanakan. Dengan perkataan lain pengendalian mutu merupakan usaha untuk mempertahankan mutu dari barang yang dihasilkan, agar sesuai dengan spesifikasi produk yang telah ditetapkan berdasarkan kebijaksanaan pimpinan perusahaan. Untuk memproduksi minyak mentah kelapa sawit atau sering disebut dengan CPO (crude palm oil) dan PKO (palm kernell oil), PTPN IV Unit Tinjowan memiliki beberapa syarat mutu salah satunya yaitu kadar air (Moisture), untuk melihat apakah syarat mutu ini sesuai dengan spesifikasi produk yang diharapkan penulis melakukan penelitian dengan metode SQC (statistical quality control). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peta kendali dan R dan menentukan nilai kapabilitas proses ( ) serta nilai dengan USL dan LSL yang sudah ditetapkan perusahaan. Pada tugas akhir ini faktor mutu kadar air memiki nilai , ini berarti kapabilitas proses sangat rendah dan proses produksi masih menghasilkan produk yang belum sesuai dengan spesifikasi dan apabila , maka artinya kapabilitas proses sangat bagus dan proses produksi sudah menghasilkan produk yang sesuai dengan spesifikasi.
