Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kecelakaan Lalu Lintas di Kota Medan Tahun 2017-2019

Abstract

Regression Analysis is a statistical analysis method that is used as a tool to estimate the value of a variable by using several other variables related to that variable. Regression analysis is useful to get the functional relationship between two independent variables on the dependent variable or predict the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable in a complex phenomenon. Regression analysis consists of 2 parts, namely simple linear regression analysis which if the independent variable is no more than two and multiple linear regression analysis if the independent variable is more than two variables. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the factors that influence traffic accidents in Medan in 2017-2019 by using multiple linear regression analysis methods. The dependent variable used is the number of accidents (Y) with four independent variables namely high speed (X1), carelessness (X2), fatigue (X3) and disorderly (X4). This research was conducted by collecting secondary data obtained from the Medan Police Traffic Police Office. The results of this study were obtained that Fcount ≥ Ftable and concluded that H0 was rejected, which states that there is a significant relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable. It was also found that the coefficient of determination was 0.954 which means that 95.4% of the number of accidents was influenced by high speed, carelessness, fatigue and disorderly behavior while the rest was influenced by other factors.

Analisis Regresi adalah suatu metode analisis statistik yang digunakan sebagai alat untuk membuat perkiraan nilai suatu variabel dengan menggunakan beberapa variabel lain yang berhubungan dengan variabel tersebut. Analisis regresi berguna untuk mendapatkan hubungan fungsional antar dua variabel bebas terhadap variabel tidak bebas atau meramalkan pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel tidak bebas dalam suatu fenomena yang kompleks. Analisis regresi terdiri dari 2 bagian yaitu analisis regresi linier sederhana yang apabila variabel bebas tidak lebih dari dua dan analisis regresi linier berganda apabila variabel bebas lebih dari dua variabel. Tujuan dari penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kecelakaan lalu lintas di Kota Medan pada tahun 2017-2019 dengan menggunakan metode analisis regresi linier berganda. Variabel terikat yang digunakan yaitu jumlah kecelakaan (Y) dengan empat variabel bebas yaitu kecepatan tinggi (X1), kurang hati-hati (X2), lelah (X3) dan tidak tertib (X4). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Kantor Satlantas Polrestabes Medan. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa Fhitung ≥ Ftabel dan disimpilkan bahwa H0 ditolak, yang menyatakan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel terikat dan variabel bebas. Diperoleh juga bahwa nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,954 yang artinya 95,4% jumlah kecelakaan dipengaruhi oleh kecepatan tinggi, kurang hati-hati, lelah dan tidak tertib sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.
