    Pengaruh Antropometri terhadap Biometri Okular dan Kelainan Refraksi pada Anak Talasemia Beta Mayor

    Abstract
    Introduction: Children with thalassemia β major will have growth retardation problems on craniofacial and long bones. These changes can affect anthropometric values which have the possibility of affecting ocular biometry changes and refractive abnormalities in thalassemia β major children. Objective: To assess relationship between anthropometry onward ocular biometry and refraction error in children with thalassemia β major. Method: This study was an analytic observational using a cross-sectional method. The study sample was a thalassemia β major children who registered at One Day Care Thalassemia Unit Department of Child Health and Polyclinic at Universitas Sumatera Utara Hospital from February 2019 to April 2019, amount to 44 Children. Results: Anthropometric analysis onward ocular biometrics showed a significant relationship between height and the axial length of the right eye (p = 0.004) and left eye (p = 0.043), then show significant relationships between height and anterior chamber depth of right eye (p = 0.027) and the left eye (p = 0.016), whereas there is no significant relationship between anthropometric and refractive error. Conclusion: Height affects axial length and anterior chamber depth, however, none of the anthropometric variables affect refractive error in the children with thalassemia β major.
     
    Pendahuluan : Anak dengan talasemia β mayor mengalami retardasi pertumbuhan pada tulang kraniofasialis dan tulang panjang. Perubahan tersebut dapat mempengaruhi nilai antropometri yang memiliki kemungkinan berdampak pada perubahan biometri okular dan kelainan refraksi pada anak talasemia β mayor. Tujuan : Untuk menilai pengaruh antropometri terhadap biometri okular dan pengaruh antropometri terhadap kelainan refraksi pada anak talasemia β mayor. Metode : Penelitian ini bersifat analitik observasional dengan metode pengumpulan data secara cross sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah anak talasemia β mayor di ruangan One Day Care Thalassemia Departemen Ilmu Kesehatan Anak dan poliklinik RS USU dari bulan Februari 2019 sampai dengan April 2019 sebanyak 44 orang . Hasil : Analisa antropometri terhadap biometri menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan antara tinggi badan terhadap axial length mata kanan (p = 0.004) dan mata kiri (p = 0.043), serta tinggi badan terhadap anterior chamber depth mata kanan (p = 0.027) dan mata kiri (p = 0.016), Sedangkan analisa antropometri terhadap kelainan refraksi tidak menunjukan hubungan yang signifikan. Kesimpulan : Tinggi badan mempengaruhi axial length dan anterior chamber depth, namun demikian tidak satupun variabel antropometri mempengaruhi kelainan refraksi pada anak talasemia β mayor.
