dc.description.abstract | Latar Belakang: Ventilasi mekanis merupakan terapi pendukung yang sering diberikan di ruang rawat intensif. Penggunaan ventilasi mekanis berkepanjangan berhubungan dengan peningkatan mortalitas dan morbiditas. Studi mengenai oxygenation index (OI) telah menunjukkan korelasi yang positif pada lama penggunaan ventilasi mekanis sehingga dapat membantu dalam penentuan prognosis pasien pada tahap awal dari penyakit yang memerlukan ventilasi mekanis
Tujuan: Membuktikan adanya hubungan oxygenation index dan lama penggunaan ventilasi mekanis terhadap mortalitas anak di ruang rawat intensif.
Metode: Uji observasional prospektif analitik pada pasien usia 1 bulan sampai ≤ 18 tahun yang menggunakan ventilasi mekanis di PICU RS H. Adam Malik, Medan, mulai Februari 2020-Agustus 2020. Perhitungan nilai OI dilakukan pada 24 jam dan 72 jam serta pencatatan lama penggunaan ventilasi mekanis dan luaran yang terjadi. Analisis bivariat dilakukan dengan uji T tidak berpasangan dan korelasi pearson.
Hasil: Sebanyak 42 subjek penelitian dianalisis. Uji T tidak berpasangan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan bermakna antara oxygenation index 24 jam, 72 jam, dan lama ventilasi mekanis terhadap mortalitas (p<0,05). Nilai oxygenation index 24 jam dan 72 jam menunjukkan kekuatan korelasi lemah terhadap lama ventilasi mekanis (r=0,30 dan r=0,36 secara berurutan) dengan perbedaan yang bermakna (p<0,05)
Kesimpulan: Terdapat korelasi positif antara oxygenation index dengan lama ventilasi mekanis dengan hasil oxygenation index yang lebih tinggi pada pasien yang meninggal. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Background: Mechanical ventilation is a supportive therapy that is often given in intensive care settings. Prolonged use of mechanical ventilation is associated with increased mortality and morbidity. Studies on the oxygenation index (OI) have shown a positive correlation with the duration of mechanical ventilation and thus can assist in determining the prognosis of patients in the early stages of disease requiring mechanical ventilation..
Objective: To proves the correlation between oxygenation index and mechanical ventilation duration on children mortality in pediatric intensive care unit.
Method: Analytical prospective observational test in patients aged 1 month to ≤ 18 years of age using mechanical ventilation at PICU H. Adam Malik Hospital, Medan, from February 2020-August 2020. Calculation of OI values was carried out at 24 hours and 72 hours as well as the mechanical ventilation duration. Bivariate analysis was performed using independent T test and Pearson correlation.
Result: A total of 42 research subjects were analyzed. Independent T test showed a significant difference between the oxygenation index 24 hours, 72 hours, and mechanical ventilation duration with mortality (p <0.05). The 24-hour and 72-hour oxygenation index values showed a weak correlation with mechanical ventilation duration (r = 0.30 and r = 0.36, respectively) with significant differences (p <0.05).
Conclusion: There was a positive correlation between oxygenation index and mechanical ventilation duration with higher oxygenation index value in patients who died. | en_US |
